Homeless Shelter Residents
You've been through more than most.
The stress, fear, and trauma don’t just go away. They live in your body. In your sleep. In your thoughts.
[Name] is a free, private tool to help you feel calmer — right now. On a phone, in a quiet moment. No one watching, no one judging.
Life has been rough – you might have faced extreme stress, trauma, and uncertainty. But even without a home, you deserve peace of mind. [Name] is a free emotional support app that’s simple to use and completely private. It’s like having a caring counselor who never judges you, never gets tired, and is available anytime you need a moment of comfort or strength. If you’re staying in a shelter or living day-to-day on the streets, [Name] can help you cope with what you’ve been through and build hope for tomorrow.
What [Name] is:
[Name] is an easy-to-use app for anyone who’s struggling emotionally. You don’t need an appointment, an ID, or even to tell anyone you’re using it. It’s just for you. When memories of tough times flash in your mind or anxiety keeps you up at night, [Name] guides you through those feelings one step at a time. It’s spraks or writes – whatever you prefer - in clear, simple language – no fancy psychology terms.
How it works:
Let’s say you’re feeling overwhelmed – maybe you had a difficult day at the shelter or something from your past is haunting you tonight. Open [Name] on any smartphone (it works on basic models too). The app will start by asking targeted questions that lead ou to what you need to release emotions. You never have to reveal details you’re not comfortable with – the app doesn’t know your real name. But it helps your brain to change, so that you get more resourceful. Each time you use [Name], you’re teaching your brain that you have tools to deal with the hurt and fear. Over days and weeks, those small bits of relief add up – maybe you start sleeping better, or you find yourself feeling a little less on edge during the day. It’s progress at your pace.
Why it's good for you:
Stigma-Free Help:
There’s no shame in using [Name]. No one sees you doing it, and it won’t label you with any diagnosis. It’s just help when you want it. You could be sitting in your bunk or on a park bench – to anyone else, you’re just on your phone. Only you know you’re finding some peace inside.
Available Anytime, Anywhere:
Shelter staff busy or no counseling available? [Name] fills in the gaps. Middle of the night, early morning, or during a panic attack at a crowded soup kitchen – whenever you need calming, [Name] is ready. No waitlists, no office hours.
Small Steps to Healing:
[Name] won’t fix everything overnight, but it will help you take one small step at a time. Maybe tonight you feel less alone, tomorrow you manage to push away nightmares, next week you have the courage to talk to a case manager. It’s about building you up bit by bit, so the bad days aren’t as bad and the good days come more often.
Easy and Gentle:
Even if you’re not “techy,” [Name] is straightforward. Big buttons, clear words, and you can’t do it wrong – there’s no “failure” here. And if an exercise makes you uncomfortable, you can stop at any time.
Suggested visuals:

An uplifting illustration like a small plant growing through cracks in concrete, symbolizing hope and resilience emerging from tough conditions.
Who it's not for (yet):
-
Not a medical emergency service. [Name] is here to support you emotionally, but if you’re facing a medical or psychiatric emergency, please seek in-person help. It’s not going to call an ambulance or a counselor for you.
-
Not a replacement for therapy when needed. Some experiences are so heavy that professional therapy is important. [Name] can be a first step or a supplement, but it’s not a full therapy program. If a doctor or counselor is available and you need it, please use them too.
-
Currently in English. Right now, [Name] speaks English. If that’s not your first language, it might be a bit harder to use. We’re working on versions in other languages to serve more people like you soon.
For homeless shelters (providers, agencies): Join the [Name] Beta
We will start our bigger pilot study soon. If you think, your employees could benefit from participating (and we are sure they would 😉), please reach out and book a demo. We will show you the product, together we will figure out which requirements we have to meet for working with you, and make a step-by step plan [contact].
